Senator Cam Ward

We are pleased to announce that State Senator Cam Ward (R-Birmingham) has offered to be the lead sponsor of a resolution in the 2016 legislative session that will authorize a privately funded monument of The Bill of Rights at the Alabama Capitol in Montgomery. Senator Ward told MyBillofRights.org* Executive Director Chris Bliss that he is in complete agreement with the non-partisan spirit of our mission, and will reach out for bipartisan support in advance of introducing the resolution.

Chris also met with State Representative Thad McClammy (D-Montgomery) during his trip, who was kind enough to give him a tour of the Capitol grounds, as well as filling him in on some of the rich history surrounding the Capitol and Montgomery.

We look forward to working with both legislators on passage of the authorizing resolution.
